About Me

Hi, I am a Carl-Zeiss postdoc and lecturer (Dozent) in Computer Science, allowing me to independently research and teach on the topic of worst-case performance evaluation of systems. Currently, I am affiliated with (imprint)

Distributed Computer Systems (DISCO) Lab
Department of Computer Science
TU Kaiserslautern
Paul-Ehrlich-Strasse 36, Room 442
67663 Kaiserslautern, Germany

I received both my B.Sc. (2009), my M.Sc. (2012) and my Ph.D. (2016) in CS from the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (TUK). My PhD supervisor was Jens Schmitt.
TUK is ranked by Times Higher Education (as of 2018) 401 - 500 globally (2017: 351-400, 2016: 401-500) and 62nd in the Young University Rankings 2017 (2016: 69th). In Germany, the Department of Computer Science is usually ranked in the top 10 (8th in WiWo 2014, 2016, and 2018; see also CHE 2015 top group scores).
My interests are in the performance evaluation of systems and my research focusses on worst-case analysis using Network Calculus. My pet project is the Disco Deterministic Network Calculator (DiscoDNC) that provides open-source tool support for network calculus analysis. My Ph.D. thesis is dedicated to accuracy improvements and the cost evaluation of these analyses.

You can get in contact with me using this email address: bondorf@cs.uni-kl.de

I am in a relationship with my high school sweetheart Elena. She’s doing her PhD in the Department of Regional and Environmental Planning at TUK.

Paper Accepted at ECRTS, WiP Session

Wed, May 10, 2017

My student Philipp Schon's continuing work Towards Unified Tool Support for Real-time Calculus and Deterministic Network Calculus has been accepted the Euromicro Conference on Real-Time Systems (ECRTS), Work-in-Progress Session.

Paper Accepted at SIGMETRICS 2017!!

Tue, Apr 18, 2017

Quality and cost of deterministic network calculus (DNC) seem to be two conflicting goals for DNC heuristics. We improved algebraic DNC to provide the design and evaluation of an accurate and fast analysis.

Paper Accepted at ICC 2017

Fri, Jan 27, 2017

Some networks are hard to handle for the network calculus analysis. It has to be inaccurate to ensure deterministic worst-case delay bounds. A less pessimistic analysis of a more pessimistic network can, however, improve the delay bounds.
